Welcome to our Virtual Exhibition, all about the history of Balsall Heath.
We call it ONE AREA THROUGH TIME
The Exhibition is the work of groups of young people (from 11-21 years old) from different parts of Birmingham. We came together, to look at the history of Balsall Heath, and the layers of immigration over time. The project consultant was Professor Carl Chinn.

Project groups were based in seven venues: Al-Hijrah School, Calthorpe Academy, Eden Girls Leadership Academy, Four Dwellings Academy, George Dixon Academy, Newman University, and Turves Green Boys School.
The One Area Through Time project is made possible with the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
